Create A New World speaks to the enduring ‘never say die’ attitude of the band and the heavy metal world. Drawing parallels between its evolution and lifecycle of a universe as witnessed by its creator, it illustrates how the power of unity is greater than the sum of its parts. Though times and trends change, foundations sway or even fall completely, there is a driving force that is enduring, always constant, ready to rebuild and achieve even greater things.
lyrics
I was the one who came before, and shall remain when you are gone,
I made this world from nothing more, and I am destined to live on,
Cities of gold, lost to the oceans of time,
Together we’ll find the way to a new paradise,
CHORUS:
Out of Atlantis we’ll write a new destiny,
Born in the flames like blaze of the sun,
Another day, a new dawn is awakened before us, the age of innocence is gone,
And through the darkness a new light is beckoning, all of the nations united as one,
And as we stand t’ward the sun, bound together as one, on this day we’ve already begun to create a new world,
I’ve got you under my control, you will confess your sins to me,
Just taste my power and behold, what I possess you’ll never see,
Kingdoms will fall, washed out by merciless tides,
We’ll rebuild, redefine, and only the strong will survive,
(CHORUS)

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse
